And since an uninterested third party is the one determining what’s still wet and what’s dry, this can also help remove scrutiny from the contractor when it comes time to invoice.

Often times, the category of loss will be up to debate, even if the S500 is pretty clear. As a third party, we will take bacteria tests from multiple areas of the project to verify whether gram negative bacteria exists. Its presence makes it easier to advocate for a “grossly contaminated” loss.
